Winter in Armenia

Discover a rich cultural heritage, ancient sights and breathtaking scenery with a visit to Armenia, the cradle of one of the world´s oldest civilizations. You will arrive in Yerevan, the country’s capital and largest city. Founded in the eighth century BC, it is one of the world´s oldest continuously inhabited cities and predates the Italian capital, Rome. Your Armenian adventure starts on day two with a tour of the capital, where you´ll take in such sights as the Museum of Ancient Manuscripts and the 18th-century Blue Mosque. You will then transfer to the spa town Tsaghkadzor on day three to swoop down the slopes of Tsaghkadzor Ski Resort. Other highlights of your trip include visits to the centuries-old monastic complex of Kecharis and Garni temple. You will also have lunch at the home of an Armenian rural family.

While in Yerevan, you will stay in the 4-star Royal Plaza Hotel, an attractive and welcoming modern retreat in the capital’s center close to many popular attractions, bars, cafés, restaurants and entertainment venues. When you awake, a delicious continental, Italian, Asian or American breakfast awaits in the buffet-style restaurant.

During your time in Tsaghkadzor, you’ll be staying in the plush 5-star Hotel Marriot Tsaghkadzor, which boasts a wealth of features to pamper you, including a swimming pool and spa. And with several restaurants, bars, and recreational facilities such as a billiard room, guests want for nothing.
